Spirit of St. Louis - vintage fashion, logo

Brief from client

This logo was made for a vintage fashion moda italia company inspired to aviation, military and work style.
They craft men pants.

Though is a made in Italy fashion collection I decided to give a vintage and american look to the logo using the brown color and kind of eroic face.

I decided to use something like an icon that shows a face of an aviator because the brand is linked to the lindy hop world that in turn is linked to the heroic endeavor by Charles Lindbergh who, boarded a plane called Spirit of St. Louis, crossed the Atlantic ocean from New York to Paris.

I really like this one overal, my only picks would be to simplify the lower part of the scarf, and let go of the two little belts on each side of the jaws, as they would not visible in the smaller scale. Very nice concept!

Yes, I agree, but I was afraid that without that details maybe the figure should be less recognizable.
I will think about your advice, thank you so much.

On the other hand, you might try and see if you could make the arch part with a text being an actual tail of the scarf, so, to extend that curve line coming around the back of the head of the aviator. I think that it will solidify the whole idea of the concept in here.

I was going to say, if you can incorporate the scarf to house the lower text, it might work better as a whole
