I don't know about clusters, but I would go somewhere in those directions
This one stands out for me - I'd say it's a big improvement from the original! (Not to be mean- I just think this works so much better!)
The tiny little talk bubbles beneath the two big talk bubbles just seem to complicate things and make it too busy- and these colors/fonts are much more appealing to the eye. Good job, Al! :)
