Looks good, but unfortunately, the symbol is too small. This probably has to do with the fact that the word is pretty long.

Also,when I first looked at your logo, I thought that it had something to do with animal welfare. After reading your brief, I'm not sure it really says anything about promoting small businesses.

Beside that the font and color choice work great.

Keep it up.
