I like the general style of this logo, but I have no idea what the sybol is supposed to represent.

The choice of font is good, but the kerning is terrible. Look at how unconsistant the spaces are between each character.

I also tend to advise against using the stroke of a font when you want a "binding" around your logo. First, it'll be a mess when you alter the logo's size and it creates all these pesky dents.
