Thought the use of a custom type, or lettering, is always commandable, I don't think this logo works at all.

First, it's pretty hard to read. That T is literally squashing those poor L who need space to grow! =)

Second problem, it's not centered and totally off balance. Look at all this empty space on the left side.

Last thing: ditch the textures. Way too complicated and it will screw up the B&W version.

Globally, you should drastically simplify. I'd rework the word mark (Alltheon), get rid of the frame and the textures and find a simpler font for the subtext (games) Don't hesitate to work in black & white at this point.

Keep it up!

Did you see his first post? He said this will be a fully 3D animated logo hence the textures. I do agree that the balance is off, and that its hard to read some of those letters. Like the L you mentioned, needs more space to make it more easier on the eyes.

In order for it to work as a fully animated logo, it needs to first work as a traditional, non-animated logo. Bells and whistles need to come secondary. This will keep the branding consistent throughout all media. Is he going to hand out animated 3D business cards?
I agree with everything Shawali pointed out. I also wanted to add to start with sketches and work primarily in Illustrator or other vector based art programs before taking it into Photoshop for textures and all that stuff. It will save you a lot of grief down the road.

I liked the layout of the previous version better. Your letters are still getting squished, it is an improvement though.
