Brief from client
Logo for parrot breeder, featuring a drawing of a parrot.
Stylised drawing based on cockatoo and ara.
The negative space and the beak can be interpreted as a text balloon together, representing the parrot's ability to talk.
I really like this but I feel you could improve on the font choice. These fonts are fine but I think you could pick something else that will give you more impact.
Also I think you should have a looking at your leading, it's a bit tight at the moment.
One last thing, I can't see why you would give 'parrot' a capital letter and not 'breeding' and 'centre'. Personally I'd have them all lowercase, all uppercase or a capital 'P, B and C'. I don't know maybe I'm wrong on this!
Thanks for the advice, I'll look into the typography some more. I can't seem to find any great (and appropriate for the theme) ones on my PC. I'll try to download some new fonts and hope I can find something nice.
Oh, I didn't even consider dafont, because it has lots of "bad" fonts, but you're right, it could work in this case. Fixing the kerning only takes a minute anyway.
Forget about DaFont, it's the trailer park of typography. For every decent font, you get 100 shitty ones that only belongs on a 5 years old birthday invitation card.
For the real deal, check out www.losttype.com Real professional typefaces, the downside being that a lot of them tend to be seen everywhere since they're all great, available in several weights in most cases and more importantly free! www.fontsquirrel.com is also a good site to check out.
Also have a look ar www.fontsinuse.com. Very handy to get some knowledge about professional fonts, which you can find if you know where to look.
I really like this this Jefzor, my only comment would be for a parrot breeder might like to see 2 parrots, as it takes two to tango if you get what I mean. Only a suggestion but it's the kind of comment I imaging a client might make.

If he asks for it I'll do it, but I imagine the client's clients are only interested in the parrots and not in the breeding.
the feathers and type on version 2 are way better.
Thank you :)
