Annals of Gentalia
Brief from client
That's right. That is what it said. You didn't read it wrong.
(Because I am a very bad Waffles)

In lieu of recent events I am submitting this logo I designed for the very tongue in cheek (often literally) book series I wrote. The genre for this book series has been coined as 'Elfrotica' which is a mix of the fantasy genre, video games, and gay ero... well you know the last bit I'm sure.
This goes on the top of the book cover, as it is a logo for the 'franchise' much like old school fantasy novels. So I wanted it long and... uh...
I finished my cover, and if you are brave you can go look at how the logo looks on the cover. This just links the book cover image though, I swear! :D If you happen to snoop around more... I will not judge.

I specifically broke some logo design rules (and it hurt emotionally believe me) with this because I wanted it to invoke memories of old school branded fantasy novels from the 80s-90s. So gradients, cloudy two-tone backgrounds, and needless bevels abound! It does borrow a lot of the design from Dragonlance, which was chosen as it was the lanciest of all fantasy book logos.
People have liked the logo, but expected it to be less 'tame'. Here is my question, does it go far enough? I need to be careful as Amazon and other places call pull things to overtly... yeah you know... on the covers.
Yep, this just happened.

I'm sure a certain member on here will find all of the phallic symbols immediately ;)

Have fun. #Operationspamback
I'm tired of seeing that annoying link ...!
My apologies dude, I will ensure it will not happen again, bye!
okay I think there is no need to place those links because we are tired of seeing so many spam here.
apology accepted!
Thanks and have a great day! I also deleted all my comments (except this thread) as consensus opined that they're not useful or inappropriate for them!
I honestly thought you were a spambot.
You do not have to leave the site, we will not force a real person who thought they were helping to go.
You already removed the links, that is a good start to showing you were genuine. You didn't need to remove all your old comments, just the link.
Just from now on when you comment on a logo spend a little more time with making it constructive. That is all we ask really.
A thumbs down, or up, really doesn't tell us anything much until they are tallied up. Telling someone that you dislike the colours because you think they clash or are too similar and then giving a thumbs down, much more helpful! If the entire logo is just horrible then you can genuinely say that it doesn't work at all, but try to give some context!
Thanks! Glad you understand. Sorry for being a bit harsh, but spamming is a scourge on this site, we are really edgy about it.
Hope to read you again soon!
My Logo got a bit taken over here. I am happy it all worked out finally, but if anyone has feedback on the logo itself I would still appreciate it.
With so many comments and a zero rating it looks like this post was spam on the main page, and not the spam that was spamming it up with spam! :D
Considering the context, this is working quite well. That 90's thing going on here is pretty on point.
Awe thanks! You're my favourite!
I kind of wish the banner itself was a bit more symmetrical. For example you have those pointed areas were repeated elsewhere on the left somehow. Other than that, it's captured its theme well.
Awe thanks! You're my favourite as well!
It was attempting to look like a hilt on the left. I think I might refine it slightly. Thanks for the advice!
If I think we forgot review your brand ha ha ha.
You have my four thumbs up.
Awe thanks! You're my favourite too!
