Logo required for Basement Apes Recording Studio

Hi all,

I've tried a number of different compositions trying to keep the ape and the text constant but this is really the only one that I think might be an improvement on the simple icon and bordered text I had before.

What do you think?

I think it's an acceptable logo, but the too complex. Think about what you would do if the client asked in a few years to simplify their logo.

i think this is a fun concept, but agree that it's a little busy..I almost think if you took away the lines and made his earphones bigger it would look really cool. Also I think you need to massage that type treatment a little.. not crazy about the spacing b/n "basement" & "apes"
