Beach Hou$e - New Spin

Brief from client

The logo is for a clothing line named "BeachHou$e", and the only real requirement from the client is that the S in House be a dollar sign.

Thank you to everyone who is giving suggestions for this.

I did some research on nautical designs, and decided to create an anchor as the main focal point, instead of trying to focus the design on the "$".

Please let me know your thoughts!

You all rock. :)

Much stronger. I like where this is going, but I would do a few things: refine the anchor a bit. I didn't see it as an anchor at first actually, just a cool shape. Refine it a bit more, primarily the top area, and the lower point.

Secondly, that type has to go. It doesn't go with the rest of the mark very well.

You're on the right track for sure.

I'm sorry but this looks terrible.

For one the typography isn't fitting of your symbol and vice versa. Secondly your "anchor" it looks more like a WW2 fighter plane then an anchor. I do like the shape at the bottom of the anchor reminds me of the Assassins Creed symbol. Also your color usage.. Not sure if you should stick to these.

Keep at it.

2 quick tips : - do not use fantasy fonts, ie distressed/textured fonts like this one. If it comes from DaFont, it's probably bad.

- Sketch. Hand off the mouse and sketch like a mofo.

I think he's seriously on the right track. Even if the anchor is abstract, I agree the bottom portion of it looks pretty sick.
