Brief from client
My own open source project, it is a font editor.
A symbol for my open source project. It is a bird font made from typeface Beteckna.
The main mistake here is that it looks like you just traced the picture of a pigeon. You need to create the thing yourself, not just copy/paste it from somewhere else. You got to give it your own twist and style. On top of that, you need to get a hold of all these little details, like the tops of the feathers, the angle of the head, all this kind of stuff. And you can't do that if you haven't made the picture yourself.

Check out elefont, one of the successful logos. Good luck.
Which elephont? I have found several.
search "elefont logo". Not elephont.
Thank you, that is brilliant. One thing I could learn from elefont is to cut some detail.
