Branding for pet food subscription service

Brief from client
Create a standout brand for a new pet food subscription service. The client likes retro, vintage inspired designs. The logo must contain a cat, dog and rabbit as this is a USP for the business.
Yup, this is my favourite too. This logo is great!
I don't really mind the radiating lines, although these are very fashionable and might look dated in a few years (if they are not already)
My main beef is with the "shadow" of the wordmark. The whole composition is centred, yet, the shadow points south-west, which is graphically not logical and kinda goes against the grain of the composition, which is a bit irritating visually.
Also watch out how it's not attached to the S, unlike of the other characters.
Besides that, this is a really cool logo. Good job!
Yes the radiating lines are a little over used these days, however the client is keen to achieve that hipster vibe and I think this helps add that.
It's funny how when something is pointed out to you, you can't unsee it - I can see what you mean regarding the shadow angle. I will work on a version where the angle is 100% south. Also, I think what is most likely is that there will be a refined, single colour version without the shadow and circular text, with this version limited to larger executions.
Also on the 'S', I must have looked at this logo for 6 hours straight in illustrator, and only noticed that myself when I uploaded to here. Quick fix.
This is great!
I love the inset of the rabbit. I would say that the symbol is so nicely done it's a shame it's so small.
Also subtext is a little small in comparison to the logo text.

I prefer this version, but I think the radiating lines are unnecessary. I would use that space to make the animals larger.

Can't wait to see the next version! Keep up the good work!

Great job though, and great colours.
