Budokai Dojo

Alright. This is probably going to come off as a little harsh, but bear with me.

I'm gonna go out on a limb and guess that you're not a designer by trade- perhaps just someone who loves martial arts and wanted to make some logos for people that you practice with....Which is super nice of you.

But these (I've looked at the other two as well) all look very much like clip art within a circle. If this isn't the case, I apologize- but they look like freshman year design assignments from the first week of class.

If you can't hire a designer via craigslist or wherever- at least look up a few 'Do's and Don'ts of Logo Design' pages online and read up on what to do/what NOT to do.

Go with just one symbol, don't use gradients anywhere or embossing effects- make a simple symbol that gets the point across and then embellish it with some nice text in a good font. Stop with the circles and clip art- because it looks like just that: clip art wrapped up in a circle!

This screams "CLIP ART". The dojo has a great name, try creating a unique text graphic.

Thank you for your critique. I am not a professional, as mentioned, more like an enthusiast amateur. Will try to do better "evolving" the logo. The main reason why this looks like a clip art is because I was asked to use some of the features used and the customer wanted to use it as a patch as well.
