Brief from client
Logo for a smart phone app to help determine boresight in hunting situations. App records zero and stores data for later recall.
(Boresighting is a method of visually pre-aligning a firearm barrel's bore axis with the target, in order to more easily zero the gunsight.)

Again, too complicated. You try to cram too many things into your logo. Keep things simple. A good logo should be memorable at first glance. Adding too many confusing shapes and info will prevent that.
I like everything except it's too busy. Like Shawali said, you need to keep it simple.
It's not clear that the rifling is rifling. The cloud idea is so overdone with software, I'd just drop it unless you can figure out a way to work it in that makes sense. Then drop the rifling and try to simplify what's left into something that you can still easily see when you're zoomed way out.
i think it is too complicated. however i think your ideas are leading to something interesting. i think focusing on the most essential elements could help. can you eliminate any aspects and still get across those core ideas? perhaps the rotating shapes around the could can be the first to go?
Thank you for all the suggestions. I decided to do away with this idea entirely and focused on simplifying my other versions.
