Logo for a gasstation/fillin station, its in an island, that was found by a ship captain. basically thats about it.

Whoa! Are you gonna hang poor Cap'n Cox?

Perhaps an ellipse or a round corner rectangle would look less sinister.

Or perhaps no frame at all. Just put his head above the wordmark.

Yeah- no frame, on top like he said...

Get rid of the little lines and at least one of the outlines around the text. You have 3...

Check your alignment too. ; )

'Lorewren' Hit the nail on the head with the idea of using the icon as the O. That would look great, along with a couple of the other suggestions

Loose that 'drop' background on captain.
Try with a clean drawing or try incorporating it in 'O'.
