Forget the gradients, and u'r on a good way...
and put "carpinteria" a littlebit more to the right... Optical spacing!

Much better.

Use some sans-serif typeface for the tagline for better contrast and align the 3 lines of text.

That "Cg" looks like "Gg". I would work a little bit more to make it look like a nice, single "G"

I would try with something that looks like the attached image. Both G's look like hand-carved in wood. And you would keep the current shape of the "Cg"
