Ouch. Everything that shouldn't be done with a logo. Vertical text, ugly gradient and worst of all, bevel & emboss filter.

A logo doesn t have to literally look like objects. Why don t you make a photo of a torch, remove its background and say it s a logo instead? So, why complicate things while a logo requires simplicity.

Get out of photoshop and work this as a vector in Illustrator. Kill the bevel/emboss effect while you're at it. Also consider that, when scaled down, you wont be able to read the name in the logo. I would get the text outside of your symbol.
