Brief from client
- I like Lobster 1.3, so perhaps something similar?
- Icon of a monkey/gorilla or owl (solid colour, like the twitter logo).
- I've attached our brand colours (blue and orange), we need to incorporate them both.
So, I've used Lobster, and tried to deal with it. Its not easy...

I LOVE IT! amazing job!
It looks great alright, but again, Lobster is way too hip these days and you see it literally everywhere.
this is my favourite one! simple and effective!!
Thank Shawali
I've strongly suggest to my client to avoid using lobster all together. Provided some much better examples too. But, he's very adamant to use Lobster.
I have adjusted the original lobster font, so that it is more unique and someone couldn't just repeat the logo by typing it out. This I belive to be the best practice for typography in this situation. - I just feel its unfair to give me the thumbs down on the type just because its lobster. Unless it was the changes /i made to original font that you didnt like? (Updated the S, fixed kerning, and added some flair to balance with the logo icon itself)
Sorry I didn't mean to be unfair about the font. It was merely to point out that it's the one thing that bugs be in your logo. Visually, Lobster seems like the right pick but again, it's the right pick for all the trendy logos these days.
You're right about slightly altering the font, though I didn't pick that up at first, to my shame. Funny enough, I'm about to do the same with a client's who also uses lobster =)
Don't feel bad because of my innocent thumb down, you are one hell of a designer =)
I just wanted to bring this up as you quite often comment my work and i appreciate your thoughts. And you know I'm looking for crit on the deeper level than choice of font, most fonts I use I will work with or edit - so these are nice area to pick me up on.
