Brief from client
Exclusive family dining restuarant.
Specialize only in sea food.
Ideal for friend n family weekend outing.
Situated in Navi Mumbai, Maharashtra, India.
This could work with a better font and better colors and better execution.
Don't force the type to the right just to do the eye gimmick ... A big sacrifice for little return. Right now, the fish looks dead. You want this to say "fresh" if it's a restaurant. Also, check around your area. Does every seafood restaurant have a fish on their sign/logo ? They do here, but this is a coastal town in the U.S.
Regarding the pattern in the fish. Actually, I think that's what saved it when I first saw it. It was different from every other "name on a fish" restaurant logo I have seen. In better colors I think it would work. I have a feeling most won't agree... but try it out.
Better idea might be to try the patterned fish only in one color, no outline on the fish, (so the fish is less obvious) I think it will work and make it a little more sophisticated. That, a better font and more inviting colors could salvage this.
I'd like to see the next version...I'm curious if that will work as well as it does in my head.
It is very simple for a restaurant logo. Can it is necessary to leave from idea of restaurant of sea dishes, and to try to beat idea of family restaurant how you consider?
I don't mind simplicity of this but your concept lacks a real creative idea and professional execution.
Do some googlin' to find similar logos, take a day or two to think about what you saw, grab a pencil and paper and try to sketch something that will make your restaurant stand out from the crowd.

This is a simplistic approach for a logo that doesn't look "exclusive"

I think you chose well principal typography, but the colors and the way you applied into the shape was not good. Try to change it.

It's good, but could so much better in every area.
At us such logos do under time/disposable logos (exhibitions, shoping-nights, displays). Soon there will pass an exhibition with almost same logo :)
