Consorzio Vermentino di Gallura DOCG

The logo must represent the link between wine Vermentino and the land that produces it, the region called Gallura, in Sardinia, Italy.
It should be a summary of its characters and those of the wine of his native land.
Must express purity, refinement and originality.
The sign must be recognizable and concise, adaptable to different formats and media.

The logo represents the union between the wine and the land from which it arises.
The graphic takes up the movement of wine into a glass swirled as he usually does with wine. This movement generates the shape of a rooster, the heraldic symbol of the Gallura region.
The golden color incorporates the reflections golden-green typical of Vermentino wine.
The sign grafcio is inserted into a form that resembles an oblong glass in which you usually drink this wine.
This is complemented by the literal part of the logo indicates that the word "Consorzio Vermentino di Gallura DOCG" for which it was used as the font Trajan

The font is good but try to align it better and have a better kerning. The symbol looks just awful. Not that it is an awful symbol... i think it's pretty good. But because of all the effects it looks so cheap and you don't understand anything. Remove the gradients and effects, especially if you want it in all kinds of media.
The colors are not so bad but i have to see a version that i can understand better.
i agree with kaosme, there's too much going on in the symbol. try something simple and clean. also, it could be me but for some reason i can see a rooster silhouette. try removing the gradients and effects like kaos said...
The rooster is the first thing I saw when I looked at the symbol.
The gradient is a customer request. There is a monochrome version of course :)
Talk to the client and explain to him, about the gradients.
