Brief from client
A small clothing brand designed for girls. I went with pink as a main and only color because it addresses feminism and I won't be up to change it, but I'm looking for feedback on the fonts and the small legs symbol.
This is a new logo that I made. Hope you like it!

Sorry but this is really not working, not one bit.
First off, if you want it to address feminism, the one color your don't want to use is pink. That's a no brainer.
Also, if you want to make a good logo, you must be ready to spend quite a lot of time working on it. You just picked the most basic font change the weight of the second word and that's it. There is nothing happening with this logo whatsoever. I'm pretty sure you didn't spend more than 5 minutes working it. There's no inspiration, no idea...
What you need to do is to apply a proper creative process, which can go a little bit like this:
- Market research : everything you can find related to that particular business, its history, the competition, their logo, their strategy, their ads campaigns, etc.
- Inspiration: you need it to fuel your creativity. Look for some like minded logos on sites like www.dribbble.com www.logopond.com www.fromupnorth.com. Get yourself a Pinterest account, it's must for inspiration. I use it every time I start a new project.
- Sketching: the most important part of the process. Let go of your computer and grab and pen and a piece of paper. Start doodling away, like your life depended on it. Sketch, sketch, sketch and sketch again. And when you're done: sketch some more. Whatever goes through your mind, put it on paper. This is how cool ideas come up. I cannot stress enough how important this stage is. Too many beginners and students tend to bypass it, for some disastrous results most of the time.
- Execution: once you have a viable idea and a clear vision of what it should look like, only then may you turn on your computer and execute your logo. Remember, Illustrator, or any other graphic design softwares are NOT creative tools. Machines and softwares are not creative. You are. Know how to use what they have to offer to shape YOUR vision. Don't let them dictate what you can do.
I hope it helps.
Keep it up!
