I like this idea but it needs something else. Its feeling quite naked at the moment. Maybe play around with the colours or something because it doesn't seem like a bakery at all.

That extended string ending on H is not doing anything for this.

What's wrong with a simple & clean word mark?

Lot of people tend to add something utterly redundant so it looks like they took some time thinking and working on the logo which is complete and utter bullshit.
Better be honest to yourself (and your client), say "I don't have an idea what to do here so I will just make a nice word mark".

This looks like a sign for a neighborhood.

I think you need to add the word "bakery" or a mark that shows what it is.
