De Flapcan

Brief from client
The client needed an updated logo for his pub. Inside it's dark and homey. There's a lot of live music too. The pub is everything but trendy.

I began with the image of the words "de flapcan". The worn metal panel was a reference to all the old metal advertising on the walls of the pub.
Because the pub is a bit worn down, which is part of its charm, I wanted the logo to look that way too. However, on the windows only the words "de Flapcan" are used.

You have to do clean logos.
Is too much information. I don't understandthe logo and the concept.
there’s a lot of works to do with this, i agree with the above comment. draw it first as many as you can then choose your best, then present here again.

Check out this website to see how this kind of work can really look. It has the most amazing work done in classic Americana signwriting styles. I use this site regularly for inspitation as I'm a big fan of this style.
is a kind weird, the typography is not legible
