Brief from client
A logo for my own personal brand.
Creating a concept of a personal brand. Dein is a dutch word and stands for the motion of the sea, but can also be seen as someone who lives life to the fullest and is sophisticated.
Dein stands for: Dive - Explore - Independent - Nature.

Not sure I see a reason for the solid blue line behind the lettering. It doesn't add anything to the lettering. I also don't think the fill in the lettering does anything. It looks like it has been badly cloned because of the repeated images. Since this represents both a Dutch word and four words, you might be better served by doing all capital letters and putting Dive Explore Independent Nature beneath the DEIN.
I read this as Nein at first.
Keep it simple. It looks like you crossed DEIN out with the line. The chunky font with the image fill doesn't look right for a logo but better for a kid's book. Try a solid color. If you really like that font, tweak the kerning. Definitely remove the line. Disjoined ligatures in script fonts like this (between the "D" and "E") become a focal point that competes with the purpose of your logo.
The idea is interesting, however you are killing it with the line in the back. It translates as the logo being crossed out.
Also at first glance I read the German word "Nein" or No in English. Thus, a script with more emphasis on the curve of the D should suit you better.
The colors are interesting and I do get a sea vibe from them. Your on the money there.
