I see what you did, but the initials read PD, not DP. I think this is a pretty quick design. I would love to see what other sketches you have.
I think this is a pretty bang on job. The symbol is simple and memorable. Matches the font pretty well. It's just me, but I would try to give them the same thickness to see how it goes.

Can't stop thinking about Beats by Dre
I too thought Beats by Dre. I have to disagree, this is pretty underwhelming to me. I get that the font matches the symbol, but I feel like I've seen that font several times by small town businesses. It doesn't convey the feeling of a design company.
Just my two cents. I'd like to see more ideas for this.

That is where I had seen something like this before. I was wracking my brain trying to remember.
Perhaps a different colour would stop it from looking so similar?
it's just a straight up copy of beats with only a little variation. it's fine to use it as inspiration, but you haven't added much.
