The idea is good but I hope you realize this is just the beginning and that it's far from being done.

That dark brownish color doesn't really say "diamond".

Keep working on it.

This is very basic, you can start from here, but needs to be worked on.
Try to unify the thickness, add in the name and of course reconsider the color.

I wouldn´t rotate the pictogram for a diamond, it´s too confusing!
If possible i´ll start from scratch ( or sketcch ) again.
Also as everyone above said: pleas put the name of the company and take your time to try differnt fonts, in different weights and alignments. You probably would be doing that for about 20 or more times
