I think it works.

The way the N is split in the middle and then the other N at the end is not make it a little confusing.

Nah, it's not working for me. It's hard to read and I do not get that it's a metal band. Looks more like Mass Effect video game logo.

I let Jon, our bona fide metal band logo specialist give you some pointers.
