DMG Children’s Rehabilitative Services
Brief from client
One of the objectives was to evolve the DMG CRS brand to drive stronger brand recognition and position the clinic as a center of excellence for the treatment of children with complex needs. Our goal is to create a playful logo that is appealing to children and evokes positive emotions from them and their families. We wanted to ensure that the logo reflects not only DMG but also what makes DMG CRS different – the exclusive focus on children. In addition, it was important for the new logo to not only reflect the services offered today, but also any future services or expansions planned for pediatrics within DMG.

A messenger of hope, the hummingbird symbolizes enjoyment of life, lightness of being, courage, determination, love, endurance and healing. Hummingbirds are well-known and visible creatures in Arizona and give a “whimsical” feeling to anyone observing them. Also, hearts symbolize hope, compassion and caring.

Too many styles meshed together. Remove what you can and unify the styles.
I agree, there's too much going on.
dMg is already a logo in and out of itself. Is it really necessary to have it? It visually clashes with the rest and looks like a sore thumb.
Then, you have two symbols with the heart and the bird. I would only keep the latter, it is very well crafted. The heart looks like clip art and feels disconnected visually from the rest of the logo.
