Ok, it's looking a bit more like a logo but you're not quiet there yet.

First, I think logos are not made to do what a poster does. They're not meant to give a whole message like that. Their ultimate goel is to give a "face" to a much broader things, may it be a company or some kind of PSA campaign.

Try to stick to 2 different fonts top. Make sure these fonts complement each other. Never stretch or squeeze them. Strokes are better avoided. Never have vertical text. It's unreadable and it's a old and cheap gimmick.
