Nicely done.

Perhaps you'll have to shadow the girl when you scale down the logo.

It's good, but I think you could further improve the symbol by simplifying it. Look at this artists in Hungary who does great sports team logos: http://gynemeth.com/category/sports-id-2

Great art, though I think the colors can be better unless that's the school's colors. Something like Purple and Orange/Yellow is just classic; the star can be purple for that varsity feel.

Other than that, I love this logo!
