My only real concern with this is how it would look in a smaller version. By the time you shrink it to fit onto a business card or even smaller application, "graphic designer' is going to be virtually unreadable. Did you have a concept for using it with the EA separate from the name/title?
Bad symbol, I immediately see a male private part with testicles to the left - sorry for being honest - but cannot hide what I see instantly. I don't think that curvy font are on a same page with first and last name of a designer's font besides colors. I think that " EA " idea can be cleverly executed with a different approach. cooperads. No, I do not want to use EA separate from the name/title. But I'm thinking about to make it separately. As it turned out it is harder to make it logo for yourself than for someone else and I do not know what I want exactly. Thank you for comment.
You are right: making a logo for yourself IS a tougher nut to crack. What I generally suggest is to create a visual signature rather than a full on corporate-like logo.
Your logo here is a bit complicated, in terms of composition and as cooperads said, the text might get lost when reduced.
Try to keep things simple. Why not try hand lettering? Spend a few hours looking at logos on www.logopond.comwww.dribbble.com or on Pinterest and feel that weird sensation of inspiration taking over your brain =) You'll feel unstopable after that!
I see ballerina slippers.
I really like what you did with how the E and A meet. (My compliments on the bottom of the E through the crossbar of the A)
Personal logos are difficult because they are so personal. I suggest taking a few long walks, think of the sights and smells that make you... well, YOU. Then drop the topic completely for a full day. Then after your next morning routine, ask yourself "If I could go anywhere, anytime (present, past or future) today, where would it be?"
Perhaps you'll think of some memory or item from your life that will be a source of inspiration for your personal logo.
I'm going to make this statement as opportunity knocks on a door... Love me or hate me for what I'm going to write here next: back in 1975 I was in Art College in Leningrad ( currently St.Petersburg ) studied graphic design and interior design on top painting, drawing, sculpting, history of art, perspective, fonts and etc. I was really blessed to have a great teacher in my class. He thought me the most important thing besides correctly holding a pencil and a brush. That thing was how to push yourself to earn a title to call yourself an artist on a big time scale. In all reality a lot of people think that if they see someone making a few good looking virtuoso brush strokes on a canvas or cleverly done caricatures by street " artists " - they immediately called them that... There are tons of them worldwide making a living that way - but are they really artists or could we call them good craftsmen instead, which would be exactly who they are. Believe me that there are plenty of them out there paint or draw what's in front of them to please a general public and get paid. What separates a true artist from them is unique ability to see things out there no one else see it. As what exactly a great Vincent Van Gogh used to say: " you can walk by a three a thousand times - but on a thousand one - you will finally see what you've been looking for". When that moment comes ( and it never on a firm schedule ) no matter where you are or what you do - it will guide you to a wonderful destination called " MUSE ". From my own experience - that is some feeling that is impossible to describe in human words. Creation process ( writing a book, making a movie, writing a poetry, painting a portrait, drawing a nude model, chiseling a marble , making a logo and etc. ) is a very painful one and requires a total unconditional devotion. It is physically and emotionally consuming one with folks outside most of the time calling us a crazy ones. Evgenia, I hope that you will find an inspiration in my statement here to elevate yourself to a higher level to get that personal ID logo done in a way that it will not be mistaken with any others for your only identity to earn that title " graphic designer " and an " artist " on top of that. Good Luck!

You might try a mock-up of a business card to see if the name/title get lost.
Thank you very much for council)))

You sure know how to type a wall of text without really saying anything.
:)
Sorry darling, with a little editing and rotating the logo, ah made clear that somewhat resembles a penis.
My point is finally proven - thank you josplit!
