I like this. Not too fond of the font. While it is okay in the larger size, the smaller type is a real no go. The sub text needs to be in a clean san-serif font. I would also play with the main text to see if there is something that is more readable overall. Did you draw the plate or is that clip art?
You are right, the smaller font is not easy to read. I think i overlooked it because i know what it says. I will look into it.
The plate i have drawn myself, although i stole the gloss effect from some random EPS.
Yea Cooperads has summed this up completely, good job though!
Besides the choice of font and the almost unreadable subtext, I see nothing technically wrong with this logo. It shows that you have an eye for design and composition.
My main beef with this is that it's far from being ground breaking. It looks like any Japanese themed restaurant out there. To be honest, it's not really creative.
Ho, if you call this "Asian looking", people from China, South Korea or Mongolia would beg to differ ;)
I agree, it is not really creative in the way it looks. But i didn`t think my client was looking for something that super creative, but i will keep your advise in mind when a re-design is wanted by the client.
