Brief from client
Icon for Android OS
Smart Device app Icon for a Local What-to-Do/Where-to-Go app
Tells me nothing. Sorry. The compass should be vectorized. And that flower and old style button don't really look harmonious. Sorry but it does not work.
You should really take the effort to draw a compass, not just vectorise it with a single click, it looks really ugly. Also that flower like orange thing should be a lot smoother. The compass is too small in the middle, when the icon appears on a phone it won't be recognisable. The aqua button in the back looks pretty cheap. Actually this whole thing looks cheap.
I just think that you can do so much more with a "find it" app. Without the typical compass look. Maybe do some research on famous compass apps and see why they are so successful logo wise.
Another revision would help, your colors orange and blue are tough because it seems like you just chose a random blue and a random orange - the brightest you can find, and slapped those together. I also am not a big fan of the star shapes, its just too much to look at at small sizes. The vectorized photo of a compass also is too complex, try simplifying it by 90% percent and google some great examples of android app icons.

I don't like it, if i see something like this in an app, believe me, i won't use it.
I think what you're lacking is a sense of "adventure" in the concept.
