Brief from client
Working on a logo for a personal site. Looking for something that will stand out and get people to go to FHILM.com
I experimented with a couple ways to create emphasis on the H, considering that that is an important distinction between Film and Fhilm that is needed to navigate properly to the website.
Very new to this. Any feedback is welcome!

Red on black is very hard to read. (or black on red). From a distance (or when it is small) this appears to have a ghost character 'H' floating there. Hard to see, you have to strain your eyes - squint even to see it.
It is actually sort of interesting on the eyes, so while I recommend never doing red on black ever, it actually does work here. (for probably the first time ever!)
However, that H has no emphasis at all. If you were shooting for emphasis on the H like you say this is a complete miss. It couldn't have less emphasis on the H (unless you made the H black).

Perhaps the H doesn't need to be emphasized, just separated from the text? Here is a version without the .com:
The lack of emphasis in itself provides emphasis. It is very odd how this works.

This looks good. Simple yet memorable. I'm not sure you need to include the .com in the logo itself.

I like it, might have gone with a brighter red, but I like it.
I like it in the positive version. If you choose to put it on black, do brighten up the red.
Nice job on this! I would perhaps brighten the red just a touch, The colour it is now reminds me of blood.

Sure can... Two horizontal bars on top and a bottom of " H " resemble a ladder.
Sorry, but I'm not a fan of this one.
To me it looks more like a film negative, which is totally appropriate in this case. Didn't see a ladder at all.
