I like what you tried to do, but to look much better, try to establish an order for the color shades. They now look kinda mixed up (or maybe its just me). And also, the shape is too big comparing to the main text. Find a balance between them. Great job anyway.

I find it very difficult to look at. Not sure the "D" is defined enough to make it look like one.... sorry, this doesn't do it for me

I'm not a fan of this logo. The symbol, which is the center piece, really, is too complicated and I can tell what's it means.
