Fishing Tournament Logo

Brief from client

Logo for annual event, colors and type are brand standards. Headline font could change if I wanted to.

Scrapped the last concept, heres a new one. Let me know any feedback you have. Thanks.

I like this concept.
I love the bobble floater in the water, very nice touch!

I really like the bobble floater thing too, but overall, I find this very complicated. There's way too much info.

Not a fan of the ripples though.

Thanks, I agree that it is a lot of information but it's an event logo so it's all required. Luckily it's just used on a few things like signage and t-shirts so it's usually printed fairly large. The ripples, I could take or leave personally but it felt like it needed something to keep it balanced. The company does monitoring and their logo in the top left is supposed to represent signals or radio waves so my thought was that the ripple mimics that. I have a feeling that I'll be asked to add a third one as well. I've made a couple other minor adjustments and will upload a revised version once I get the actual dates.

Your logo can live on its own. Especially if you want to showcase it, you're better off having it on its own.

How it'll be presented on the day of the event is another story. A logo doesn't have only one version. You can totally have different version in order to have better flexibility, depending of the context.

But as far as your portfolio is concerned, get rid of all that unnecessary stuff.

At this point I'm more concerned with the practical application than how this would look in a portfolio. I could strip it down but making all of the content work is also part of the challenge.
