Brief from client
Design a logo to go on the sportsgear of a running club,
They were very specific that the logo had to incorporate Wellington themes (yellow/black and Nikau Palm torch which is an iconic sculpture in the city centre).

It look likes more like an image than a logo. Maybe you can try to make it more compact, essential, usable.
I agree with Remco (above).
Less is more is still the way to go I think.
Maybe the torch is enough as a symbol
Clipart silhouette of a running woman in shorts is not going to cut it.
If you need to have a stick figure there at least try to draw a simple, abstract figure with clean and strong lines yourself. Your palm torch is also too complex and not working and only thing that really has a chance of working here is typography.
Take some time to re-think this and come up with a better idea, graphic mark and execution.

Agree on the torch as he central symbol.
Cut the palm fronds to make it look more like the size of a flame.
My first thought was to slim this down to just the torch too.
Please sort out the type though.. looks really bad. I'm not a fan of that up and down Hollywood Sign treatment..
