Brief from client
Personal Logo
So, this is literally a rectangle with a negative space L in it, which ends up turning the rectangle into a rotated G. My initials.
The font is Prime, I thought it would fit the symbol and it brings a good modern feel as well, especially when I use no caps (I guess). I'm using orange because it evoques creativity, but it also calls more attention to the G and not the L.
My intention is to make a really simple, yet creative logo here. I want to specialize on this types of logo.

I really admire your design. I understood it right away before reading the description. When you work with negative space and do it right it allows you to keep the design simple yet significant.
I was going to suggest making the orange part more "square" than a rectangle, but I realized that it makes the top right too thick.
This might just be me, but I think the font choice makes the logo look strictly digital. Like it could be a logo for a video game developer or something like that kind of vibe. I can't really explain it. Maybe it's just me.
Overall I love it. Really great work.
Thank you!
Yes, now that you mentioned, I realize that the font doesn't really match the purpose of the logo. Back to font hunting.
Clever. Effective. Memorable.
It's a winner!
