Better than the last one. Yes, you need to work on the lines. The right side has 2 cogs with lines that cut into the wheel. I would try it with just the outline. Or lose the gradient and use a solid fill.
Out of curiosity-- what program are you using?
This translates to "Creative Generator" you might want a more "machine" like font for the C and G. Just something to try.
Symbol is too big or text is too small, your choice on how you want to look at it.
Once you scale elements properly you will be able to see more clearly what has to be done with the symbol to make it effective.

Why a cog? It's unrelated to culture or education. You need to increase the contrast and make the text legible at small sizes.
