Gipsee
Brief from client
Gipsee is an excellent software and app program. Essentially, it creates individualized menus.
The main focus is food allergies but they are able to filter by any ingredient or food label (local / organic /sugar / fish free / nut free / anchovy free) that a food service provider or customer wants.
The segmented brands now include:
Gipsee, Inc (parent company and name of the app)
Allerschool ( website directed to school clientele to help with cafeterias)
?? (considering adding yet ANOTHER name for small restaurants and reserving Gipsee for large restaurants.)
This is the existing logo. Any feedback I can use to discuss 3rd party reactions to the current logo is greatly, greatly appreciated as I believe there is emotional attachment to the current attached logo.
I am working to help improve the visuals for this product I believe in and I appreciate as many evaluations as possible. Thank you !

This is essentially the same - just used the word allerschool. It conveys the allergy aspect, but doesn't allow for all the other features and filters that can be used if the school wishes.
OMG.. please u need to upgrade that logo..
typo is really bad
too many colors on the logo
the rectangle background isn't helping
the symbol is like a flower?? why not using something more food like.
tips for u to improve that...
choose 2 different kinds of fonts, but never ever stretch the text as it looks on Allergen Free Eating, if you want the text to be wide. look up for a font that is wide but do not stretch the text.
remove the rectangle background, you don't need that...
use some colors that make a good triad or tetrad but no more...
try to find a symbol that goes with food and allergen, could be quite difficult but there should be something that could help you. or focus on the prevent allergen theme and look for a symbol that tells you something about that.
i know that if the client feels attached to that logo is going to be really difficult to make it change its mind, but a cool design with the elements they need will make them see that there are other options for the logo.
good luck.
This thing should be trashed as it is and a new one should be designed from the scratch. New symbol, new typography etc.
