-too much space between green and life
-the leaf doesn't seem to be flowing well with the rest of the logo. probably wrong positioning plus its too generic
-the tagline is too small the size should be increased.
Also the typography isn't working in this
The idea is good, just good enough. So is the symbol, something that has been done a lot but still accepted. Add some details to that leaf so it doesn't look like an insect wing
Take more time to choose a better font, a font that adds "personality" to your logo.

The leaf is now symmetric but the terminal in the ascender of the "f" makes it look like a flame.

Yay, it has green in the name and magically a green left appears as graphic mark.
How 'original' and boring.
Life is black, that, so far, is true. I don't think this leaf is going to help much to make it look better.
If you are doing things for practice, do something that has not been done 5,423.467 times by every idiot who calls himself a designer (me included).
It's a tough world out there - without originality and creativity you are nothing.

I don't like the leaf on the f. I see it more as part of the g. Make green life one word and, if using the same typeface, pay careful attention to your kerning. Enlarge the tagline.
