I think you've got something really interesting here.
I MIGHT tone down the swirly marks on the end of your Y and E. But other than that, I appreciate the new life you've breathed into this, while still keeping your droplet. It captures "groovy," and the swirly script font emulates a gaseous feel.
Great improvement.
Yes very nice. Splendid idea to keep everything in the same font type.
The E's swirly line at the end of "Vape" is not natural like all the other letter swirls. You made it curl down instead of up which it should. Thats about the only thing i can remark about this now. If you fix the E i think you might have something to use here.
Good job!
This is definitely an improvement, but you're not quite there yet. I agree with Race about the ligature swirling off of the "e", it doesn't look right, and almost makes an "s".
I think that thick white outline on the letters is a bit too thick, the shape of the droplet gets lost. Trim them down so they're a bit leaner and it might look better.
I wish there were a way to make those letter outlines swirl out like vapor instead of being simply outlines, but I'm not sure how that well that would work.
Fixed the E swirl :)
Yes, the "e" is much better now. I also like the reversal of the colors.
Awesome. Yes! This is what i meant with the E's swirl i also agree on the new colors. This looks much better.
Okay...after seeing where you started, I agree that this has come a long way. But I feel it has a long way to go...and the end result can be much better.
First of all, no one knows that this concept began with the "drop" of water. Looking at this cold (I was unaware of the earlier versions) I did not see this as a water droplet. Maybe because it's just a background shape...but also, I don't associate vapor with drops of water, but rather with steam, clouds, smoke, etc.
I feel the concept would be MUCH stronger if you redesigned the shape into that of a cloud. And, it would work well with the flowering curves and serifs of the font. You may even want to further accentuate the swirls of the font (or add additional swirls around the font) to better suggest vapor, steam, smoke, etc.
Just a quick search on this site reveals many ways to do this: http://stocklogos.com/category/cloud?page=1
For sure, I am not suggesting that you throw the baby out with the bathwater. I LIKE the font and how you've brought it along. But now its time to make the background work organically with that new shape...embrace the cloud/vapor... and lose the drop.
Yeah, this kind of iterates my sentiments from the start. The drop never was my favorite, but a cloud...that would be a much stronger solution.
I should choose an other font, cause "valendria" is overused
"Lavenderia" =)
I see what you mean when you say it's overused, but frankly, I rarely see it. It's like Mission Script, another great free font from Lost Type.
I like it in this logo, though the word mark hides the drop.
haha something like that :P
I don't like the type change, I prefer the first one. I knew right off the bat it was Lavendaria and I think this type is becoming too popular and easily distinguished to be part of unique logo for your company. I think you should go back to improvements needed in the first version of the logo you posted. This new one needs another contrasting font in order to be successful.
