Well, there you have it: some brushstrokes with the colors your client wants and that looks like nothing specific.

P.S. I give a thumb up to typography just because this thing looks like an "H"

I've seen a lot of logos looking like this, nothing to write home about.
Bevels and gradients add to cheesiness a lot.
