Brief from client
The current logo for Halogen Forge computing. A small computer system builder.
The current logo for system builder Halogen Forge. A minimalist two color logo with a shade of red that's easy on the eyes.
I like the symbol, is ok , readable, not very special but is ok. The main text shout be the same height with the symbol, aligned to it. Also, for more individuality I would play with the text and symbol integrating them a little. You can remain with that font but you got to place it better.
the ligatures you forged (to remain in the context) are nice and i was wondering if you can put the rest of the text as continuing from those two initials. So you wouldn't have the symbol and the text as separate but have them both. I don't know if my english is clear enough and my sketchbook is missing in action.....
The Logo is not very bad, but it is a bit as if "seen before a couple of times"...
It does not really draw attention. Don't know if this is what you intended, but if not, try new ideas.
Your logo is a pretty good start. I think all you need is to choose a friendlier looking font, make the text part as high as the symbol, make the round corners with a bit larger radius and make a slightly larger gap between the symbol and the company name.
In this case i reduce the red and separate it from the other part, the distance? the inner size of the "O" of FORGE, the margins of the red square where reduced too, how much? just to match the width of the H legs, and the HF symbol were reduced to fit into the height of the Halogen Forge paragraph.
This is another distance, the half of the same inner "o" of forge.
But i've thinking that maybe you should do a little bolder thing with the HF symbol, just to make it pumps as the central part of the identity, to make it take the control of the brand.
Great ideas, Darbo! I'll be sure to take these changes into consideration. I agree with you on the spacing between the text and symbol. As for changing the size of the symbol, I haven't thought of that. Good call!

Thanks for the input! I'll be sure to rearrange the text a bit. Would you mind elaborating on what you mean by integrated them a little? Thanks!

that's the direction i would see..but i used verdana here...i guess some helvetica would fit better, see thin fonts.
I liked but I thing you need to work on the symbol some thinks. Maybe pronounce more the round corner or modify the fonts in the symbol.

I think is all about proportions.

Hope this helps.
