Uhm, for me it's not working. The 3D designed cube-feeling is not a perfect choice for a logo (think about how many aspects a logo will be use (car decor, stamp...))
The letters are very small compared to the symbol.
The font type is very basic - be more creative - an of course be industrial too
Just to clarify, working using gradients and/or 3D treatment is NOT a bad idea. It's a bad idea only when it becomes your final product, and your logo doesn't translate to flat shapes in the end. It's much better to add effects and fancy treatment later.
From a printer's view: This logo is a bit complex. Getting it screen printed, vinyl cut for a vehicle or embroidery would be difficult. The logo would have to be changed due to how it is processed. Ask the client if the tag really have to be there? Or is that something they want to add later (example: Letterhead)
