Brief from client
Something modern and friendly.
My client has just opened its printing business, and wanted a logo that reflected the kind of work they could offer to their customers. So I made this logo as first choice for his company.
Well, your client have a offset printer? with large scale materials?
I guess the people will think that you`ll talking about home printers with this,
And if you make this logo without gradients and shadow will be better.
Any way, this isn't a bad logo. :)
The icon is completely irrelevant to offset printing. Beyond that, I'm not a huge fan of the typography either but the icon is what really needs to be addressed.
Research more about offset, be a little more formal, offset is for big volumes, and a big volumes means a serious bussiness, so take a look to other type fonts and sketch something a little bit more solid, I´m not against the gradients but i would recommend you to start from scratch again.
Something I liked was that you put your logo in diifferent backgrounds, sometimes is improtant to consider wether you encase the logo in a choosen color or if there´s the posibility of using it over diferrent backgrounds.

I like the typography, but the symbol is too common. But if you still wanna use it, make it as simple as you can and flat.

Thanks for the comments, something related to offset other than the guides, I can recommend to improve the logo. I would greatly appreciate
