Brief from client 

Client found the design great but preferred their old logo.

An update logo of a middle-classy barbershop.

Remove the clip art and draw the razor and comb yourself. There are times when it is appropriate to use clip art, a logo is absolutely not one of them.

Those fonts should never be used together, they don't complement each other at all.

Also, the color selection is not good. The white text has far too little contrast with the background, which de-emphasizes the words (exactly the opposite thing you should do with a logo).

Low budget or not, this type of client screams for a well hand lettered vintage logo =)
