Internship Academy (Church Ministry)
Brief from client
Connecting churches with viable youth worker/pastoral intern candidates, and coaching/mentoring/training interns for one year. We will be trying to appeal to both the local church – likely average age of a senior pastor being 40 to 55 – as well as the intern candidate – likely average age between 18 and 26. Primary appeal initially would be to the local church and senior pastor

This is a sub ministry of a larger parent ministry. They wanted a modern, clean a simple logo. I wanted to make two lines meeting to show the connecting, but found that much of that had already been done - this logo came out a variation of that. The blue in the center is the parent companies color and gray in the text is also the parent companies color (connect the two together). I've then surrounded that circle with a traditional color and a more modern color trying to represent both the churches and the young candidates.
The symbol is simple, and wanted to see if this had already been done.
Thanks for your time!

I think your kerning could be improved a bit in "Academy."
Aside from that, your colors look far too close together. Try to create more of a contrast.
As a whole, though I think this works nicely.
classy and formal .... nice
I like the incorporation of the parent company colors and the concept of traditional and modern but I would choose other traditional and modern colors. I also want the divider lines to be the same in the "A" and the circle. If you are going to have the kerning extended on Academy then I would do the same to internship and have them be in equal length.
