JC DESIGN
Brief from client
Consultants/buyers for Interior Designers to source home decor/ art in Asia
Please use a variety of colours and I am looking for a logo which reflects creativity and is not too structured.
I would like something colourful and bright. it could take inspiration from paint swooshes or splotches.

I haven't put a logo up in a while. I did this for a contest. It stayed in first for a few days (out of 500 logos, so I was super happy!), but at the last minute I was knocked out by a web 2.0 logo. : )
I thought that this captured what she was going for. I realize that it probably wouldn't work in grayscale- But she wanted lots of color and for the application it would work (web- b.cards- etc.).
Later I felt that it might not be bright enough, so I am going to add a different version I made to see what you guys think.
Thanks for checking it out.
PS- if you were wondering, the graphic is based on a cherry blossom. I filled each petal with a different color, made a lot of them, copying, turning and re-pasting, and took down the opacity obviously.

This is one big bunch of autumn colored leaves you have there.
Too much for my taste to be considered a serious graphic mark.
Not your fault judging by what you wrote about your clients request.
Most clients are morons who don't know much about graphic & logo design and sometimes their requests are insane.
Web 2.0 logo requests are just a welcome alibi for getting some shiny bullshit for a logo that will, after the fuss passes, be perceived as totally obsolete mediocre crap.
Your graphic mark could work provided you simplify it and reduce number of leaves/petals. Typography is classic and it can work too.
