Brief from client
Jeffrey Smits Design
A logo i made for school.
I'd like some feedback about my logo.
There must be a design instructor out there telling students to put DESIGN beneath their initials to create a logo. Get your money back. Do yourself a favor and create your own creative brief. Research logo design process on the web. Grab a pencil and piece of paper and start playing word association, then start sketching ideas. You will design tons before something screams at you "go this way."
If your first step in designing a logo is to sit down at your computer, you are making a mistake.
1. Brainstorm!
2. Match words and ideas!
3. Sketch!
4. Pick 3 good ideas.
5. Sketch those.
6. Refine those.
7. Refine those again.
8. Refine those again again.
9. Turn on computer.
10. Scan in those three refined to the max ideas.
11. Bring those here and post.
Try that. Should take a few hours minimum. Bring us the three ideas you come up with after that. No computer work is allowed! (Or you get an F!)
