Brief from client
Jilal Graphics. Experimenting with different looks without side tracking.
My planned printing/design business in the African continent. I am slightly worried about the face on a small print.
The lion symbol is way too basic. It looks like you just draw it from a picture. It's not stylized enough. You need to come up with your lion and own it. Look at this logo from the French ad agency Marcel to get an idea.
The font is really weird. It supposed to be a sans serif but these I are kinda screwing everything up with their very own serif.
The map Africa looks really random here and looks like you didn't spend much time thinking about it.
Yeah, I'm afraid this isn't working for me either. The Africa shape looks like it was literally just tossed onto the lion's back without any premeditated thought, and while the font is a little better here (I'm glad that the oddly shaped J has disappeared!) I think a better one could be found!
I agree with Shawali about working on the lion a lot more to make it your own!! Keep trying though!
